In Growing a Scientist™, preschoolers ages 2½ to 5 and their adults make discoveries about science by questioning, experiencing, and investigating. Experienced educators engage children and their adults in science activities that incorporate art, literature, and fun! Following each program, enjoy a snack together.
In Science to Grow On™, children in K-3rd grade make discoveries by questioning, experiencing, and investigating. Experienced educators engage children and their adults in age-appropriate activities that incorporate science, art, and fun! Participation of parents or adult caregivers is encouraged, but not required.
In each class, Engineering Investigators will use the engineering design process to solve a problem. Whether it’s building a suspension bridge or figuring out what gears are best to use on your bike, participants will have fun designing and building without even realizing they are honing their problem-solving skills and learning engineering and physics principles.
Put your imagination into motion! Be part of a peer design team as you tackle several different challenges each semester. Develop and build your problem-solving skills as you apply science knowledge to explore different aspects of technology that include circuits and electronics, computer programming, robotics, microcontrollers, automation, and more
Rise to the engineering challenge! In each class, Explora Engineers will use the engineering design process to solve a problem. Whether it’s building a suspension bridge or figuring out what gears are best to use on your bike, participants will have fun designing and building without even realizing they are honing their problem-solving skills and learning engineering and physics principles.
Join the club and explore construction, materials development, electronics principles, and robotics systems and design. Build your experiences with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as you use Arduino™ C-based software and other programs to build frames and bodies, create robot armature, and engineer the wiring of robot systems!
