CAMP EXPERIENCES: At Explora

Each of these camps is a multi-age collaborative camp experience. Single-day camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a fee of $85 for members and $95 for non-members. Half-day camps run from 9:00-12:00, $45 for members/$55 for non-members

Explora offers a variety of Fall School’s Out programs that provide STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) engagement and enrichment. Explora offers unique investigations for a range of grade levels, keeping imaginations and brain cells active with STEAM!

Supervised lunchtime is included in all-day camps. Before care is available from 8 am- 9 am, and aftercare is available from 4 pm - 5:30 pm, $10 per session. Pre-register for the day or pay by the session (card only). Pre-register for $20 for both before and after care on a single day.

In a Beam of Light

5-8th Grades
Full day camp; 9am-4pm

Play with mirrors, prisms, lasers, and more to discover how light moves through air and water. What else can light do?

Art in Motion

PreK & Kindergarten
Half-day camp; 9 am - 4 pm

Bring your imagination to life as you explore the magic of animation and make your pictures move in surprising ways! Watch your drawings spin, flip, and twirl across the page, turning your ideas into mini works of motion art.

Rules of the Road

K - 5th Grades 
Full day camp; 9 am - 4 pm

Calling all speed-racers! Head to Explora to make and test roller coasters ramps, raceways, and more. Investigate different shapes and materials to see which makes the best wheels, and deduce your very own rules of roads.

Coding with Raspberry Pi

5th - 8th Grades 
Full day camp; 9 am - 4 pm

Materials fee only camp: $15 for members/$25 for non-members

Develop your programming skills using a Raspberry PiⓇ, a computer the size of a credit card. The best part, you’ll take home your Raspberry PiⓇ so you can continue writing your code and developing new software. What will you program your Raspberry PiⓇ to do?

Little Builders

Pre-K & Kindergarten
Half-day camp; 9 am - 12 pm

Explore the world of construction as you stack, balance, and build with all kinds of materials! Step into the role of architect and engineer while you experiment with structure, tension, and shape to see what amazing creations you can make.

Chemistry Galore

K - 5th Grades
Full day camp; 9 am  -4 pm

Put on your goggles and smock as you mix and create chemical concoctions that fizz, foam, bubble and even change color! You'll also use chemistry to launch a mini-rocket and make invisible pictures appear.

Renewable Energy: Wind Power

5th - 8th Grades
Full day camp; 9 am  - 4 pm

Materials fee only camp: $15 for members/$25 for non-members

Join us for an unforgettable journey into the realm of renewable energy! This transformative experience offers hands-on learning and exploration of how wind generates clean electricity!

Get the scope on dirt and rocks as you experiment with soil erosion from wind and water, compare rocks that sink and float, classify minerals, and more.

Pattern Pizzazz

K - 5th Grades
Full day camp; 9 am - 4 pm

Discover patterns in nature, experiment with pattern blocks, and view a variety of repeating designs as we explore the geometrical shapes and tessellations in patterns!

Slime Lab

5th - 8th Grades
Full day camp; 9 am - 4 pm

Get ready to stretch, squish, and experiment with science as we dive into the world of slime! Campers will explore the chemistry behind polymers while creating their own unique slime recipes with different textures, colors, and effects.

Explora offers a variety of week-long summer camps that inspire learners of all grade levels to get excited about science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).  At Explora, campers preK-12th will get engaged and keep their brain cells buzzing by exploring STEAM topics in materials-rich and creative environments. Choices include in-person camps at Explora, Balloon Camp at the Anderson Abruzzo International Balloon Museum, and Farm Camp at the Agri-Nature Center in Los Ranchos. Make sure to check out our X Studio programs for teens (6th grade and above!). Let’s get curious!
