Makerspace – Watercolor Painting
Join us for ‘Watercolor Painting’ bring your own sketch book or use the provided paper to explore various drawing materials we will have available to use. Come spend time with other teens and share tips and tricks with one another or bring a current project to work on and enjoy the vibes. Curious minds welcome no previous experience required.
Tech Lab – Photo Scavenger Hunt
A simple challenge using photos- can you locate the right exhibit with a close up shot? Put your skills to the test in this photo scavenger hunt.
Crafternoon – Tie-Dye Shirts
Crafternoon is a free crafting event held from 4-6 in X-Studio. Teens (13-19) will be get to make 1 tie- dye shirt (While supplies last). All supplies with provided to make the craft. Shirt sizes available will vary. No previous experience is required
Explora Maker in Residence – Virginia Baich
Explore both the vastness of the universe and the intricacies of the subatomic world through art! Join Maker in Residence Virginia Baich in all-ages, hands-on workshops that will contribute to a collaborative artwork displayed at Explora. Free with admission to Explora!
Makerspace – Sewing Workshop
The X Studio Intro series is a basics course in all items inside the Makerspace. Working closely with an instructor teens will get to practice how to prep a sewing machine and start a small sewing project. This is a free course for teens and all supplies will be provided.
Makerspace – Jewelry Making
Come in and spend an afternoon making some jewelry for yourself or someone close to you. Explore our junk jewelry and bead collection to make something unique to you.
Fix-It Wednesday
This free event allows teens (13-19) to bring in their broken or torn items into X Studio where they can disassemble, assess and hopefully repair their item with the help of an experienced Explora staff. Give your items new life rather than throwing them into the landfill. Acceptable items include broken jewelry, small appliances and clothing.
Makerspace – Intro to Knitting/Crochet
This is your chance to try out a new hobby. Come in and get some help learning the basics of knitting or crochet.
Explora Maker in Residence – Bailey Constas
Discover the process of paper making and create handmade paper artworks with Maker in Residence Bailey Constas in all-ages, hands-on workshops that will contribute to a collaborative artwork displayed at Explora. Free with admission to Explora!

Crafternoon is a free crafting event held from 4-6 in X-Studio. Teens (13-19) will get to select a craft to choose to participate in.
