Investigate amazing phenomena that may look like magic but are really science at work! You’ll roll up your sleeves to mix and stretch polymers, create wild gooey concoctions, and explore materials that don’t act like you expect. Along the way, you’ll question the boundary between solids and liquids and discover just how surprising science can be!

How does electricity power our homes? Explore what it takes to build a working circuit and explore state electricity. Along the way, you’ll investigate the electrifying science that lights up our world and makes your hair stand on end!

Discover the art of junk journaling, where everyday scraps turn into personal works of art. Design pages using recycled papers, magazine cutouts, stickers, fabric, and anything else that inspires you. By the end, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind journal that’s as unique and expressive as you are.

Go big with messy, explosive experiments—at Explora instead of your kitchen! Roll up your sleeves for hands-on lab fun, testing your chemistry skills as you make erupting volcanoes, launch bottle rockets, and whip up a batch of giant “elephant toothpaste.”
Forensics Lab
5th-8th Grades
Full day camp; 9 am-4 pm
Delve into the world of forensics and discover the skills law enforcement uses to solve crimes. You’ll apply the scientific method to analyze fingerprints, fibers, and hair, then try your hand at extracting DNA from strawberries and onions.
