The Career Pathways Interns received a warm welcome at Presbyterian’s Healthcare Advanced Learning Lab (The HALL), giving them a unique opportunity to step inside a facility where real medical professionals train for emergencies and complex patient care. Students toured the training rooms and explored advanced medical equipment, realistic patient simulators, and robotics used in healthcare education.
The interns were particularly engaged by the lifelike simulations, including a pediatric patient simulator that could blink and speak, as well as emergency scenarios designed to mirror real-world situations. They enjoyed learning about the variety of medical and healthcare-related careers and seeing how technology is incorporated into professional training.
Students described the experience as professional, interesting, and well-organized, with one calling it their “favorite trip we have ever gone on.” Others shared that they loved seeing the facility, simulations, equipment, and robotics and appreciated the opportunity to learn about medical careers. Visits like this give our interns the chance to step beyond the classroom, experience healthcare training firsthand, and begin imagining the possibilities for their own futures.

Come by Grandma`s kitchen counter from 11 am to 1 pm daily to make your own Dopamine and Serotonin models and learn how these chemicals play a role in expressing and receiving kindness.
Don`t forget to also stop by the Casita from 3 pm to 4 pm every day for a biscochito and a cup of lemonade! Experience our new space and learn how performing, witnessing, and even visualizing acts of kindness increases your own sense of happiness!
