* In this semester-long program, 3rd to 5th graders will rise to the engineering challenge!

This week’s topic is: Wind-powered Cars: Design a model car that can race across a room using only wind power! How can you build a sail that will catch the breeze and runwith it?

In each class, Engineering Investigators will use the engineering design process to solve a problem. Whether it’s building a suspension bridge or figuring out what gears are best to use on a bike, children will have fun designing and building, perhaps without even realizing they are honing their problem-solving skills and learning engineering and physics principles!
Activities change each semester. Pre-registration and fees required. For activity details and more information, call 505-224-8341 or visit www.explora.us/en/educational-programs/semester-programs/engineering-investigators
