I get to educate others about our natural resources and how renewable energy technologies work. I help American Indian tribes and Alaskan Native villages learn about and take advantage of renewable energy technologies like solar panels.
What has helped you be successful in math?
When I was in elementary school, I liked math and science and always wanted to figure out how different gadgets worked.
What advice do you have for parents about math?
Math isn’t always easy, but it is very useful and is part of what helped me become an engineer. Engineering is a great way to help people! I had to practice my math and engineering skills a lot to get to the point that I can help to educate others. Keep practicing your math skills, and you can find an exciting and fulfilling career!
