Explora Summer Camp in Las Cruces
Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum will pilot a summer camp in the Las Cruces area for 9- to 12-year olds. Spend half days engaged in fun science and engineering activities led by a team of Explora educators.
This camp is hosted in partnership with the Museum of Nature and Science in Las Cruces, and will be held at the Museum of Nature and Science, 411 N Downtown Mall, Las Cruces, NM 88001.
Camp is for ages 9-12

June 12-16: 10am-1pm
Wind Up and Go: Develop your mechanical engineering skills as you build, test, and modify cars,
and power them with rubber-bands. Try some challenges! How far can you get your car to travel?
Can you make your car climb a hill?
July 17-21: 10am-1pm
Soaring High: What keeps gliders in the air so long? You’ll use everyday materials to design,
build and test gliders and other lightweight flying objects that use air to stay aloft.
We will have a mid-morning snack. Lunch is not included in the program schedule.

Registration fee for the Las Cruces Camps will be $100 per camper, per week. Camp spaces are extremely limited, register soon!

Closed on Jan. 1, July 4, the week after Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Dec. 25. We close at 2 pm on Dec. 24 and 31.
