Crazy Concoctions
Get ready for some birthday chemistry! Children use droppers and a variety of substances to make their own concoctions; then, they'll make a slimy substance to take home.
Astonishing Air
You can't see it but it is there. Harness the power of air as you experiment with pinwheels, make "flying fish" and design, construct and launch a parachute and its tiny gondola.
Hot or Cold?
How fast can you get an ice cube to melt? Experiment with different materials as you investigate temperature and changing states of mater. Finish by making your own ice cold treat!
Color Wonders
Watch colors change right before your eyes! Children will mix colored solutions and make secondary colors from primary ones during this colorful celebration.

Polymer Potpourri
Polymers are all around us—even in our birthday balloons! Party guests will create a polymer slime and examine its characteristics and will use heat to change polymers into shrinky-dinks. They'll be able to take home these polymer party favors!
Vibrations on the Move
Catch a wave . . . a sound wave, that is! Party guests experiment with vibrations to learn how sound is produced and how it travels through various materials, and use vibrating tubes to play “Happy Birthday!”
You Can Leave your hat on
Show off your style! Party guests work with newspaper and explore a variety of materials to create glamorous, original hats to wear. You’ll get inspiration from famous hats in art history, but the design and fabrication is up to you!
colorful kaleidoscopes
Party guests explore lines, angles and symmetry in a variety of designs they create. Then, they build their own kaleidoscopes to take home. How does the angle of the mirrors affect the quantity of images? What do these beautiful patterns remind you of?
Freeze! Extreme Science
Explore the properties of solids, liquids and gases in this extreme science program. Party guests investigate liquid nitrogen, a unique material created at -321 degrees Fahrenheit, as it instantaneously freezes water, shatters rubber bands, and collapses balloons filled with air. The grand finale is ice cream made with liquid nitrogen!
Static power
Your party guests will be shocked at how unique your party is when they encounter the Van de Graaff electricity generator!
Guests will explore static electricity and electric current in this program with “hair-raising” experiments.
