These engaging, hands-on workshops embrace an inquiry approach to learning. Participants explore how active experimentation with physical materials stimulates 21st Century Skills: critical thinking, cooperative learning, creativity, communication, and innovation. Get useful and engaging strategies for teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) while achieving many of the cross-disciplinary standards and practices presented in the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards.

Science Fairs and Beyond: Strategies for Successful Projects
The key to a successful science fair project is combining the correct use of scientific practice with an innovative idea. This workshop provides you with the skills and tools to help your students ask great questions, make predictions, and design and execute the type of project judges are looking for: those that showcase a student’s ability to independently conduct and communicate original, meaningful science or engineering research.
Mon-Sat: 10 am – 6 pm Sun: 12 pm – 6 pm
Closed on Jan. 1, July 4, the week after Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Dec. 25. We close at 2 pm on Dec. 24 and 31.
