|Make the most of your Exhibit Explorations!
Bring your group to explore our hands-on exhibit activities. Investigate gravity, water, light, air, numbers, sound, electricity, and more during a one- or two- hour visit facilitated by Explora educators.
Classroom Explorations are hour-long, experiential programs facilitated by Explora educators. Each program takes an inquiry approach to learning and involves every student in active exploration of physical materials. Our Classroom Explorations are benchmarked to the standards established for relevant grade levels by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
A full list of Classroom Programs can be found in Explora's Educational Programs Guide.
These specialized programs take place in the Explora Theater. Most are original plays about famous people, important achievements or science topics. The characters in the plays describe their lives, their work and the times in which they lived. After each play the audience may ask the actors questions and explore the set.
Explora can provide Exhibit Explorations, Classroom Explorations, and Outreach Programs in Spanish. For Classroom Explorations please make your reservation at least three weeks in advance. Call 505-224-8323.
Reservations are required for group visits of 12 or more people. Reservations are held with a signed reservation/invoice form from the group leader. Final payment may be made on the day of your visit by credit card, check, cash or purchase order. One adult chaperone is required for every 6 students.
